About Us
House of Decant is a destination for discerning drink lovers — offering a carefully curated selection of premium spirits, wines, and other exceptional drinks through our e-commerce platform. We believe that discovering and enjoying great drinks should feel effortless, elevated, and personal. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Social Media Content Creator & Editor.
Role Summary
You’ll be the person who shoots, edits scroll-stopping social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms - primarily around wine, spirits, breweries and distilleries. You will be responsible for capturing the story on the ground, from tasting rooms to harvests and turning it into engaging short-form video and stills that drive growth, engagement, and brand love. This is not a desk job. You’ll get on flights, visit some of the world’s best producers, and be expected to deliver premium content from location. If you can’t handle deadlines, unpredictable environments, fast edits and long days with a camera in your hand… this isn’t for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation
- Plan, shoot and edit high-quality short-form video (Reels / TikToks / Shorts) designed to perform on platform.
- Capture professional photography and stills for social feeds, Stories and UGC libraries.
- Produce location-specific content under tight timelines.
- Develop original creative formats that align with platform trends.
- Edit video to a professional, platform-native standard.
- Deliver platform-ready assets including subtitles and branded elements.
- Track performance metrics and iterate content based on real data.
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithm shifts and emerging formats.
- Travel frequently (including international) to shoot on-site at vineyards, distilleries and producer locations.
- Operate independently on location with minimal oversight.
- Adapt quickly to changing environments, lighting conditions and schedules.
Key Skills
- Strong shooting and editing skills — this is a production role, not a scheduling role.
- Excellent visual storytelling instincts: framing, pacing, sequencing.
- Proficiency in professional video editing workflows.
- Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok best practices.
- Highly organised, self-directed and deadline-driven.
Highly Desirable
- Prior experience in drinks content (wine, spirits, distilleries, breweries).
- Portfolio showing measurable social performance, not just aesthetic work.
- Experience using gimbals, lighting kits and/or drones.
Nice-to-Have
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
- Familiarity with social analytics tools.
- Experience contributing to long-term content strategy.
- Access to world-class vineyards and distilleries.
- Significant creative ownership and autonomy.
- High-visibility work across major social platforms.
Application: No blank applications - a presentation or a creative approach.
