About the Role
As a Sales Development Manager (EMEA) at Decagon, you’ll be responsible for hiring, developing, and scaling a high-performing team of SDRs to drive top-of-funnel pipeline across Enterprise and Strategic segments. This is a pure management role. You will not carry an individual quota or run your own book of business. Instead, your impact will come through coaching, process design, performance management, and talent development – building a team that consistently executes against complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales motions. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to refine strategy, improve conversion, and develop the next generation of world-class sellers.
At Decagon, “world-class sellers” are process-driven, disciplined operators who can confidently engage both hands-on-keyboard practitioners and C-suite executives. They are comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups, running multi-threaded outreach, and translating AI-driven capabilities into clear business outcomes. They combine executive presence with intellectual curiosity and strong follow-through – and your role will be to build and coach a team that embodies those standards every day. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on scaling people and systems in a fast-moving GenAI company.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and scale a team of SDRs focused on Enterprise and Strategic segments
- Own hiring, onboarding, and ramp for all SDRs in EMEA
- Set clear expectations and operating standards for outbound execution, pipeline quality, and qualification rigor
- Coach SDRs through complex, multi-threaded sales cycles, including executive outreach and stakeholder mapping
- Set and maintain a high-performing culture by overseeing daily activities and managing quota performance of individual SDRs
- Run consistent 1:1s focused on skill development, performance management, and career progression
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to align on ICP, pipeline strategy, and conversion goals
- Report on team performance, pipeline health, and forecasts to senior leadership
- Continuously improve systems, processes, and tooling to increase efficiency and output
- Design and deliver enablement programs that develop SDRs into world-class sellers at Decagon
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 2+ years of experience leading a sales development team at a SaaS company
- Have prior quota-carrying sales experience, giving you credibility as a coach and leader
- Have experience operating within complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles
- Thrive in fast-paced, results-oriented GTM environments
- Excel at motivating, coaching, and developing SDRs into future top-performing sellers
- Embody the Polymath Principle – you’re comfortable moving between Salesforce data analysis, process optimization, and high-energy motivational coaching
- Are proficient in Salesforce and familiar with modern sales engagement tools
- Use data to drive decisions, identify trends, and improve systems
- Bring strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and interest in staying current in the rapidly evolving GenAI market
Even better if you:
- Have 1-3+ years of personal closing experience in a full cycle sales role in SaaS
- Have experience managing teams prospecting to Fortune 500 or Global 2000 accounts
- Have a history of building at a high-growth startup
- Are passionate about fostering a positive, high-energy team culture while driving consistent results
