Debut Art has agents located in the UK and United States. We are an active member of the Association of Illustrators and The Society of Artists’ (Illustrators) Agents. Andrew represents the Society to the British Copyright Council, The Design and Artists Copyright Society and the Creators’ Rights Alliance. Role Requirements:
- Proactively marketing our illustrators to new clients Debut Art has not worked with before.
- Handling incoming work enquiries efficiently and with successful outcomes.
- Ability to quote and negotiate contracts with an eye for detail in terms and fees.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident dealing with a variety of personalities.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience with Adobe design software, spreadsheets and putting together presentations.
- Confident working on a Mac.
- An understanding of art licensing and copyright.
- Various administrative tasks including regular updates to artist’s folios, organising invoices and updating vendor information.
- Regularly contributing to Debut Art’s social media and direct marketing.
- Assistance regarding exhibition marketing, exhibition production and exhibition staffing regarding Debut Art’s own gallery, The Coningsby Gallery.
Who we are looking for:
- A proactive and motivated candidate.
- A candidate with a strong interest in, and knowledge of, the industry and an eye for great illustration.
- Experience within the industry is preferred but not essential.
Hours and location:
9.30 – 18.00. Flexibility to handle time sensitive business outside these hours. This is a full-time position. Remote working, usually 2-4 days per week, other days working from 30 Tottenham Street, London W1T 4RJ. You may be required to work occasionally at some evening functions in the gallery and more occasionally in the gallery at weekends, not exceeding 8 hours in any week. In addition to Public Holidays there is an entitlement to 20 working days paid leave per calendar year.
Equipment and Software:
A Mac computer will be provided with the necessary software for the role.
Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience, + commission on some projects.
