Google is hiring a Software Engineer III (Full Stack) to improve app publisher performance by designing and delivering full‑stack systems that combine data analysis, AI, and large‑scale engineering. The role spans backend and frontend work—from big data pipelines to pixel‑level analysis—working with cross‑functional partners to take solutions from prototype to production.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Publisher Optimization team, you will own problems affecting app publishers’ performance: defining measurable performance, prototyping solutions, and shipping scalable systems. You will work across the stack, analyze data, build pipelines, and integrate AI‑driven approaches into real apps and publisher products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and investigate technical solutions for publisher performance challenges, including e‑commerce, user acquisition, and device performance.
  • Bring AI out of research and into production applications that impact publisher revenue at scale.
  • Work across systems from big data pipelines to pixel‑level frontend analysis, ensuring backend and frontend interoperate smoothly.
  • Design, build, roll out, and monitor production systems implementing those solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including UX, Product, and Sales to keep publisher products trusted and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms.

This role operates within Google Ads/AdMob and focuses on publisher‑facing products that span search, display, shopping, video, and analytics. The engineer must be flexible in programming languages and approaches, and comfortable iterating from prototypes to large‑scale production systems.
