About the Role

Senior Product Manager for Motorola Solutions' cloud-based Video Management System (VMS). Own a product area end-to-end—run continuous discovery, define outcomes, ship AI-enabled video features across cloud and on-premise deployments, and measure impact working closely with engineering, design, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a product area within the VMS platform: define outcomes, run discovery, and partner closely with engineering to deliver the roadmap.
  • Run continuous discovery: conduct customer interviews, observe workflows, analyze usage data, and synthesize findings into problem statements and opportunity assessments.
  • Ship product iteratively: write product specs, make scope trade-offs, guide design and engineering, and ensure delivered solutions solve the intended problems.
  • Measure impact: define success metrics, instrument the product, use data to validate hypotheses, and demonstrate business impact.
  • Contribute to AI-native strategy: help define integration of AI and analytics capabilities into the video platform to enable intelligent security workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Support, Marketing, and partners to enable successful launches and feedback loops.
  • Maintain market awareness: monitor competitors, industry trends, and customer needs to inform positioning and product decisions.

Requirements

  • Previous product management experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software.
  • Experience with video surveillance or video analytics strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to run customer discovery and translate findings into product decisions.
  • Comfort working directly with engineering teams and engaging in technical discussions about architecture and trade-offs.
  • Experience defining and tracking product metrics and using data to drive prioritization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, able to articulate product strategy to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A bias toward action and experience shipping product iteratively.

Preferred / Differentiators

  • AI fascination and hands-on experience with rapid AI-generated prototyping to iterate on concepts quickly.
  • Prior experience integrating AI/ML or analytics into products with measurable impact.
  • Domain knowledge in physical security, installers/integrators, and end-user workflows across verticals like retail, education, or healthcare.
  • Experience with cloud + on-premise hybrid products or migration strategies from legacy to cloud architectures.
  • Multi-sided ecosystem experience serving partners, installers, integrators, and end-users.
  • Technical background enabling deep collaboration on system design, APIs, and platform architecture.
