About the Role

Lead global AI client acquisition for Alibaba Cloud third-party channels, owning the full lifecycle of AI MaaS opportunities from lead generation to deal closure. Build strategic relationships with AI-native companies and enterprises, co-design AI solutions to drive token consumption and revenue while supporting GTM and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scale outreach to global AI clients including AI-native startups, ISVs, AI data providers, and enterprises undergoing AI transformation to build a high-conversion sales pipeline.
  • Own the full lifecycle of AI MaaS opportunities: lead generation, qualification, solution design, commercial negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Support market and GTM strategy by tracking GenAI trends (foundation models, agents, AI infrastructure, competitors) and translating customer insights into tailored solutions with product and marketing teams.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with C-level and technical decision-makers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
  • Co-create AI use cases with clients, communicate the value of Alibaba Cloud large models in client terms, co-design practical solutions, and validate them for business impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI solutions, product, and marketing teams to run technical workshops, demos, and campaigns that accelerate adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Business or related fields); Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, pre-sales, technical, or product operations in AI, cloud, or software with proven results; experience at AI-native companies or major cloud providers is a plus.
  • AI MaaS sales expertise: active use of leading LLMs and multimodal models, familiarity with model evolution, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and GenAI market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to guide clients from POC to production, including discovery, solution fit, pricing, and contracting in collaboration with solution architects and product teams.
  • Cloud experience and familiarity with AI infrastructure products (e.g., servers, GPU, MaaS, RAG, Agents); hands-on experience in cloud sales, business consulting, or operations.
  • Strong business acumen, customer obsession, results orientation, and ability to operate in fast-paced, international environments; fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.
