Are you a recent GRADUATE with GERMAN looking to start out - and develop - a bilingual career within the growth areas of procurement & buying administration? This is a most unusual opportunity and offers a bright graduate the chance for genuine long term growth with continuous training (both in person and classroom based) to support your career. This role offers the opportunity to develop the skills that will "future proof" you at a time when AI seems to be taking entry level roles away.
You will be working for a profitable and stable engineering business based in Essex (Colchester area) and the company acts as a purchasing "hub" for manufacturers across the world searching for key spare parts and components. In this role you will deal directly with customers, then research and source (and price-up) the spare parts that the customer needs. In supporting the purchasing process you will undertake research, liaise with suppliers, set prices, create quotations, and then add a mark-up Supra to the wholesale price that is passed onto the customer. The role will also involve logistics work and arranging deliveries of large-scale engineering equipment. The role is 100% office based as you will need full training.
Salary: £30k-£32k + 10% bonus and study support
Location: Colchester in Essex (Free car parking available)
Hours: 8.30am-5pm (1pm-2pm closed for lunch)
Essential requirements:
- Fluent German/Degree
- Car driver essential (there are NO public transport links to the manufacturing plant)
The Role:
- Direct customer contact with clients who are looking for a specific piece of heavy industrial equipment or essential spare part
- Researching new suppliers globally in order to source products
- Negotiate prices and delivery time frames with overseas suppliers
- Comparing and contrasting supplier prices and service levels
- Producing quotations for your customers
- Negotiate the delivery schedule with the supplier
- Agree terms of business with customer and with supplier
- Liaise with the warehouse who will arrange all the logistics
- All post-sales administration
- Provide an outstanding level of personal customer care at all times

- Fluent English and German
- Car driver essential (the office location has no public transportation links)
