Location: DEBRA Shop, Barnsley

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time – 21 hours per week (3 days over 7, including rotated weekend shifts)

Pay: £12.71 per hour / £13,879.32 per annum

Your Role

• Support the Shop Manager in running day‑to‑day operations
• Act as keyholder and take charge when the Manager is absent
• Lead and motivate volunteers and sales assistants
• Handle donated stock – sorting, pricing, and moving items
• Create engaging displays and maintain a clean, organised shop floor
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote Gift Aid
• Manage financial transactions and ensure shop security
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and trading standards

What You Will Bring

• Previous retail experience and a passion for customer service
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Confidence to manage the shop independently when needed
• Physical fitness and comfort with manual handling
• A proactive, organised approach and a positive attitude
• Flexibility to work across a 7‑day rota and cover additional shifts when required
