We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support across all marketing functions focusing on developing and strengthening the business’s global presence and profitability through developing and implementing marketing campaigns, partnerships and delivering on strategy. This role will be based out of our Ancoats, Manchester office. If that excites you, you belong at Debenhams Group.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns
- Coordinate timelines, assets & approvals
- Monitor & manage key marketing documents (e.g. marketing deck, trading calendar, etc.)
- Assist with communication across the wider marketing teams and ensure teams are updated with reactive changes (with supervision from the Senior Marketing Executive)
- Support the general marketing workflow, including shoot briefs, briefing campaign assets, staying up to date with promo updates and ensuring communications are regularly sent to wider teams
- Assist in creating marketing plans/decks for events, large campaigns and tactical moments
Market Research
- Stay up to date with industry, market trends and compile competitor analysis/reports on a weekly basis
Event Planning Support
- Assist with events from planning through to execution (venue booking, suppliers, catering, critical paths, etc.)
- Create event timelines and monitor progress
- Work with third‑party suppliers
- Assist with event preparation (goody bags, materials, guest lists, invitation briefs, etc.)
- Provide on‑the‑day support for the event (where possible)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1‑year experience in a marketing‑based position
- Strong interest and experience in online fashion retail, ideally within the fast fashion sector
- High level of attention to detail
- Highly organised and good time management skills
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative and proactive at bringing new ideas to events and marketing communications
