About The Team
Our growing corporate team packs a punch and enjoys an excellent reputation in the market, including in the key legal directories (Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500). The breadth of our practice is wide – we cover several different areas, including M&A, investments, corporate advisory, constitutional work and banking and finance, working across multiple sectors. We are routinely instructed on complex, high value matters which larger firms (including City practices) are normally instructed to advise on and we pride ourselves on delivering an excellent standard of client service.
We are seeking an experienced, talented and commercially minded corporate solicitor to join our Corporate & Commercial team. The team has ambitious growth aspirations and this is an exceptional opportunity for somebody who wishes to be part of its future success.

The successful candidate will get involved in all aspects of corporate work, particularly M&A matters, and will need to be at the level that they can take ownership of matters and lead on transactional work, working closely with a partner on more complex and/or high value work.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Working as an extension of clients’ businesses to provide practical, commercial advice with their business needs and objectives in mind
- Working on all aspects of corporate transactions for a broad array of clients from different sectors
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents
- Undertaking transactional work from instruction through to completion
- Taking responsibility for service levels and proactively developing and maximising client relationships
- Managing the support of juniors/trainees where necessary
- Engaging with other departments across the firm on due diligence to ensure a consistent and joined up approach to delivery of client services
- Undertaking business development activities - e.g., attending networking events, meeting with referrers, writing blogs, LinkedIn and other social media profile raising, etc
Essential skills and attributes:
- A minimum of 5-years’ PQE in corporate transactions with a high level of corporate technical knowledge across different sectors
- Strong academics
- Prior experience and/or knowledge of bank security work or any of the Corporate & Commercial team’s sector specialisms, such as pharmacy or care home transactions, is beneficial, but not a requirement
- A willingness to adopt and explore AI and technology innovation
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet transaction deadlines
