At Debenhams Group, we are on a journey of transformation, revitalising our brand, culture, and connection with colleagues and customers alike. In a fast-changing retail environment, effective and authentic communication is vital to building trust, aligning our teams, and amplifying the impact of our work across internal and external audiences.

We are looking to hire an experienced Video Editor (Post-Production) to be part of Debenhams’ Video Department. We are a high-performing team producing fast-turnaround, high-quality content across major brand campaigns and social-first outputs.

This role will be based out of our central Manchester office. You will play a core role in how our brands show up visually, delivering hero campaign films as well as high-volume social content that keeps us current and competitive across our channels.

Following a period of structural change, brand repositioning, and workforce transformation, we seek someone who thrives in a busy environment with multiple edits moving at once, can problem-solve in the edit, and brings strong post-production craft to elevate the work. You’ll be one of the final checkpoints before content goes live, so attention to detail and pride in finish really matters.

You’ll own post-production across our major seasonal campaigns, shaping edits, suggesting improvements, and ensuring everything is finished to a high standard. Managing tight timelines and uploading edits to Frame.io for review by internal stakeholders while responding to feedback quickly, keeping versions organised, and driving projects through to final delivery.

You’ll be part of a team running weekly social content days, turning around edits quickly for review within the week. Keeping the team up to date on post-production best practices, sharing tips, workflows, and improvements that raise quality and efficiency across the department. You’ll also proactively share ways of improving your area of expertise within the team (workflows, shortcuts, templates, finishing standards) to improve quality and speed across the team.

You’ll work closely with the Creative and Social teams to ensure requirements are clear, feedback is actioned properly, and final content lands as intended across every channel. Confident with motion graphics (social-friendly typography, transitions, simple compositing).

~5+ years’ editing experience (fashion/retail is a plus, not essential). We want visionaries, disruptors, and doers—people who bring fresh thinking, relentless energy, and the drive to make an impact.

Highly competitive bonus scheme, company pension, share schemes, private medical cover and life assurance. Access to an on-site gym and free weekly Pilates, yoga and fitness classes. Discount across all brands. Dog-friendly offices (in selected locations). Free season ticket loan.

Please share a portfolio/showreel showing a range of work — ideally including campaign-style filming, social-first content, and examples that show lighting and on-set execution.
