THE ROLE
Are you highly organised, analytical, and looking to develop your career in customs administration? Join our team in Manchester as a Customs Administrator, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our customs processes.
Reporting to the Customs Manager, you will be responsible for validating and updating customs entries using our in-house systems. Your attention to detail will help ensure all customs documentation is complete and accurate, supporting our business operations and compliance requirements.
WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING
- Data input on customs in-house systems.
- Obtaining and saving commercial paperwork – including Invoices, Packing lists, Customs declarations etc.
- Uploading of Returns Manifests and saving these to a SharePoint.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding paperwork and amendments to paperwork.
- Checking the accuracy of information received from suppliers prior to input on customs systems.
- Maintaining documentation storage and logs required for audit and reporting purposes.
- Providing support to the Customs Team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Basic understanding of customs processes preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Highly Numerate/Analytical.
- Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
- Extremely well organised.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Experience of Excel to an intermediate/advanced level.
