A creative designer with a passion for AI and emerging technology. The AI-Focused Creative Designer will help us explore and integrate generative AI tools into our creative process— enhancing how we design, prototype, and deliver content. This role bridges design and innovation, supporting teams across marketing, digital, and brand to create faster, smarter, and more personalized creative work. You’ll experiment with tools like Midjourney, Firefly, or Runway, and help shape the future of our design work-flows.

  • Use AI tools to support asset creation, concept development, and rapid prototyping.
  • Produce design assets at scale—such as visual variations, templates, and campaign content— using generative AI to maximize efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to apply AI creatively and effectively across channels.
  • Stay on top of AI design trends, tools, and techniques, sharing insights to drive innovation within the team.
  • Help develop and document work-flows, prompts, and best practices for using AI in the design process.

More About You

  • 2–4 years of design experience with a strong visual portfolio which demonstrates a proficiency in AI tools.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Runway).
  • Proficiency in standard design software (Adobe CC, Figma).
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Good networker and communicator and the capacity to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work with others and able to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Commitment, drive and self-motivation.

What To Expect From Here

If successful, you’ll then meet with the Creative Manager at Debenhams House to discuss your portfolio & experience in more detail and explore the value you can bring to the team. Most of our hiring processes consist of two stages. You will meet with the Creative Manager to present a response to a brief - You may also be asked to meet with Senior Leadership. We will conclude the process after this stage and feedback soon after your final meeting with a final decision.
