About the Role
This is a key position within Debbie's Villas, with responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration of the business. The role centres on maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks, processing supplier payments, managing customer refunds, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the smooth running of our financial systems. Alongside the accounts function, the successful candidate will help maintain company databases and support a range of administrative and operational tasks across the business. We are looking for someone who is already confident and experienced in using QuickBooks and can take ownership of these responsibilities from day one. This is not a trainee position and we are not seeking candidates with only a basic understanding of accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks.
- Process supplier invoices and arrange timely payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
- Process customer refunds and payment adjustments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
- Produce financial and management reports as required.
- Monitor and investigate account discrepancies.
- Maintain and update company databases and internal systems.
- Liaise with suppliers, villa owners, customers, and colleagues regarding account queries.
- Support operational and administrative processes across the business.
- Ensure records remain accurate, organised, and up to date.
Essential Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience using QuickBooks in a business environment.
- Ability to independently manage supplier payments, customer refunds, reconciliations, and day-to-day bookkeeping tasks within QuickBooks.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial record keeping.
- Experience reconciling bank accounts and investigating discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.

- Experience within the travel, tourism, holiday rental, or hospitality sector.
- Knowledge of reservation or booking systems.
- AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping experience.
