Dears Pharmacy is one of Scotland’s fastest-growing independent pharmacy groups, with pharmacies located across Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Accuracy Checking Dispenser (ACD) or Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a progressive and innovative independent pharmacy group.
Working closely with the Pharmacist, dispensary team and front-of-shop colleagues, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality pharmacy services while helping to support the continued growth of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Accuracy checking prescriptions
- Supporting dispensary workflow
- Assisting with compliance aid and care home services
- Ensuring prescriptions are processed efficiently through both the branch and our central dispensing hub model
You will also have the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of NHS and private services, supporting patients and helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for patient care. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider pharmacy team. Candidates should hold a current Accuracy Checking Dispenser or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification and have previous pharmacy experience. Applications are welcomed from both qualified Accuracy Checking Dispensers and GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technicians with an Accuracy Checking qualification.
