Overview
Accuracy Checking Technician Branch Manager at Dears Pharmacy, serving pharmacies across Glasgow, the Lothians and Fife.
The role is based in Edinburgh and involves leading the retail team, working closely with the pharmacist, dispensers and front counter staff to support and develop the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accuracy checking technician team, ensuring high retail standards and excellent customer service.
- Check prescriptions, nomad orders and care home production, and send prescriptions electronically to dispensing hubs.
- Assist with the delivery of a wide range of pharmacy services, including Tympa ear microsuction, phlebotomy and PGD services through Pharmadoctor.
- Support training and development for team members and pursue opportunities for further training and career progression.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Registered with the GPHC as a technician.
- Current accuracy checking dispenser certificate.
- Minimum one year of pharmacy experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a can‑do attitude.
- Working Conditions & Benefits
- Average 37.5 hours per week (part‑time of 32 hours minimum considered).
- Rotational rota: Monday‑Friday 9:00am–5:30pm, Saturday 9:00am–5:00pm.
- Four weeks holiday and staff discount.

- Full‑time, permanent position.
