Due to continued success they now have a requirement for a Senior Estimator to be based out of their office in South Lanarkshire. As Senior Estimator you will be responsible for managing the estimating function while overseeing the commercial aspects of projects from enquiry through to completion. You will ensure quotations are competitive, commercially sound, and delivered within required timescales while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Your duties will include: * Leading the estimating department and managing the tendering process from initial enquiry to final submission. * Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation. * Preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and associated works. * Sourcing and negotiating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Assessing project risks and commercial opportunities. * Developing pricing strategies to maximise profitability while remaining competitive. * Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and main contractors throughout the tender process. * Supporting contract handovers to the production and project management teams. * Monitoring project costs and commercial performance. * Identifying opportunities for process improvements within estimating and commercial operations. * Mentoring and supporting junior estimators * Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
