This Junior Sous Chef role will work closely with Sam Grainger to create and deliver vibrant Southeast Asian plates in a unique setting. Leading by example, your enthusiasm for beautiful ingredients and excellent service will inspire and motivate your team to elevate their standards and achieve great things. You’ll anticipate obstacles, find quick solutions, and step into the trenches with your team to achieve the ultimate outcome.

Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen, with specific experience in delivering high quality food
  • At least 1 year experience as a Junior Sous Chef
  • Preferred experience and keen interest in Asian concept food
  • A commitment to quality, and the ability to train a team to deliver exactly the same quality in your absence
  • A passion for learning and progression, for yourself and your team
  • Great knife skills and professional kitchen demeanour – a leader by example
  • An eye for detail
  • The ability to remain clear, calm and organised in a busy environment
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
  • Confident in kitchen administration, to include management of food and labour costs, Health and Safety and rotas
  • A proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
