Responsibilities
- Provide technical support: Assist staff and clients via phone, email, messaging, video calls, and tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain IT security: Support password resets, MFA, antivirus, encryption, group policies, and software updates.
- Install and upgrade equipment: Work with PCs, peripherals, network devices, and virtual or physical servers.
- Automate and solve tasks: Use basic scripts and processes to automate routine work and resolve IT problems.
- Support cloud and network systems: Assist with cloud services, understand wired/wireless networks, and help keep systems secure and efficient.
- A strong passion for IT and a genuine interest in technology
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Basic understanding of computers, hardware, and software (even if self-taught)
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Minimum Grade 4 Maths and 5 English
- A desire to deliver excellent customer service and support
- Good verbal and written communication skills, You must have the right to work in the UK, and valid residency status to apply for this apprenticeship.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
- Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours pw)
- £15,000 - £17,000 Per annum
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Christmas rota in place to maintain skeleton staff cover
- Access to training in Microsoft accreditations (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure)
- Bonus payments available for achieving additional professional accreditations
