Responsibilities
- Provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage the costs of raw materials and construction projects to ensure they remain within budget, including quantifying and budgeting costs for various construction works.
- Act as a liaison with customer representatives and subcontractors on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims, and additional payments, and submit these to finance in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on project financials, including earned value analysis and cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain project risk and opportunities schedules, identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Encourage and support junior members of the commercial team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Recruit and train staff within the Commercial Department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Successful completion of appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post, enhance personal development and participate in Deans Civil Engineering’s Risk Assessment procedures.
- Compliance with the Policies and Procedures of Deans Civil Engineering Ltd, including Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Fraud, Theft, Corruption & Malpractice Policy.
