Job Description
Join one of the UK’s leading engineering consultancies as a Utility Surveyor, supporting a wide range of infrastructure, highways, rail, and urban development projects as part of an established in-house team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from purely contractor-side work and gain exposure to complex, high-profile projects with long-term pipeline security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake PAS 128-compliant utility surveys using EML and GPR techniques
- Accurately locate and map underground utilities and services
- Produce clear and accurate utility drawings using CAD and GIS platforms
- Liaise with engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate utility data into wider project scopes
- Carry out site visits across various UK locations, often working as part of a small site team
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and internal quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in utility surveying, ideally with exposure to both EML and GPR methods
- Familiarity with PAS 128 specifications and best practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with N4CE, MicroStation, or GIS platforms is beneficial)
- Ability to interpret utility records, traffic management constraints, and environmental limitations
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
What’s on Offer:
- A secure, long-term role within a nationally recognised consultancy
- The chance to work on major infrastructure frameworks from a client-side perspective
- Ongoing professional development and internal training opportunities
- A collaborative working environment with access to cutting-edge technology and software
- Competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, and a full benefits package
