Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking to appoint an experienced Land Surveyor to support a busy Earthworks Team on a permanent basis. Working on bulk earthworks and civil engineering projects, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey data, supporting site operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. The role is primarily based in the North East, with occasional travel to sites across the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out topographical and as-built surveys at various stages of projects
- Provide accurate setting out for bulk earthworks and associated civils works
- Establish and maintain site control
- Support GPS machine control and grade control systems (Training Provided)
- Undertake volume calculations and progress tracking
- Use software such as LSS, N4CE, or AutoCAD for processing and reporting
- Provide technical support to site teams
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Land Surveyor
- Strong setting out and survey capability on bulk earthworks projects
- Experience using GPS and Total Station equipment (Leica or Trimble)
- Familiar with survey software such as LSS, N4CE, or AutoCAD
- Understanding of machine control systems
- CSCS card essential
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
