We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join a growing civils and earthworks business, supporting the delivery of a range of construction projects. This role would suit a Surveyor with a strong background in engineering surveying, earthworks, groundworks, or infrastructure projects who is looking to work in a hands-on site-based environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate survey information to support project delivery, including topographical surveys, setting out, as-built surveys, and general construction surveying. The role will involve working closely with site teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure survey requirements are delivered efficiently and accurately.
A key part of the role will involve supporting earthworks operations, including large-scale volumetric surveys, cut and fill calculations, stockpile measurements, progress monitoring, and providing survey data to assist with project planning and delivery. Experience working on major earthworks projects, quarries, highways, or large civils schemes would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be confident using modern surveying equipment including GPS and robotic total stations, with the ability to process and manage survey data using relevant software packages. Experience with CAD, survey processing software, machine control models, or digital terrain modelling would be beneficial. Experience with drone/UAV surveying would be highly desirable, particularly candidates who have experience capturing and processing aerial survey data to support volumetric calculations, mapping, and project monitoring.
