We are seeking a Senior Earthworks Engineer to join our team, focusing primarily on earthworks modelling and design. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical skills and experience in N4CE, supporting the delivery of high-quality civil engineering and earthworks projects. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure accurate and efficient modelling of site data, helping to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead earthworks modelling for complex civil engineering projects using N4CE.
- Prepare cut/fill calculations, 3D terrain models, and accurate visualisations for project delivery.
- Collaborate with design and survey teams to translate site data into actionable models.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and surveyors.
- Review and quality-check designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to support earthworks planning and delivery.
- Support proposals, tender documents, and technical reporting as required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Earthworks Engineer or similar role in civil engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in N4CE for modelling, cut/fill analysis, and visualisation.
- Strong understanding of survey data integration, topographical modelling, and CAD workflows.
- Experience with site setting out, drainage, and road design is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in earthworks or civil engineering projects.
