Dean Close Kingham Hill School are looking for a passionate, motivated and skilled Teacher of PE & Sport to join our dedicated team for a 1-year maternity cover position. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inspiring young people, delivering high-quality PE provision, and contributing to a thriving co-curricular sports programme.
Responsibilities
- Teach PE and Sport across Key Stages 3–5, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Plan, prepare, assess, track, and report on pupils’ progress in line with curriculum and examination requirements.
- Support pupils’ wellbeing and development through excellent pastoral care.
- Play an active role in the School’s sports teams, clubs, fixtures, and events, including coaching and accompanying teams to matches and trips.
- Contribute to the wider life of the School, including activities, trips, and whole-school events.
- Uphold and promote safeguarding, health & safety, and the values of the Dean Close Foundation.
Qualifications
- A degree in PE or Sport.
- Experience coaching the school’s core sports, which includes Rugby, Hockey, Football, Netball, Cricket and Athletics.
