Dean Close Summer School is seeking an energetic, organised, and proactive Deputy Activities Coordinator to help deliver an exceptional programme of activities, excursions, and evening events for international students aged 8-17. The programme runs for four weeks from July 8 - August 5 with international students typically joining for two weeks at a time (either July 8 to July 22 or July 22 to August 5).
As the Deputy Activities Coordinator, you will support the Activities Coordinator in planning, coordinating, and delivering a varied and engaging schedule of activities and excursions. You will help manage a team of Activity Leaders, ensure sessions are safe and well-organised, and maintain the highest standards of student experience. You will also deputise for the Activities Coordinator when required, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the programme, coordinating staff, solving problems, and ensuring exceptional delivery across all areas.
Successful applicants will have previous experience of working for a summer school leading activities and events, and will have experience working with young people, ideally including international students. Sports coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential. We are particularly looking for people who are qualified and have experience to lead our skills' academies in Coding, Art & Design, Outdoor Adventure, Tennis, Performing Arts, Cookery, Swimming, British Sports.
