Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint an Estates Operative, working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Estates Operative supports the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the Dean Close Foundation sites. The role is primarily based at Dean Close School in Cheltenham; however, there may be a requirement to travel to other locations within the Foundation.
The post holder will provide practical, hands-on support to the Estates team, assisting trades and porters with general maintenance, site upkeep and manual tasks. A good understanding of health and safety, safe working practices and basic maintenance is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, well-presented environment that supports the school’s educational ethos, requiring a flexible and professional approach when working alongside academic and residential staff. This position is subject to DBS clearance and adherence to safeguarding policies.
