Job Summary
As Delphi continues to grow, we are establishing a Business Operations Support department to sit alongside our existing HR and Accounts departments.
The Head of Business Operations Support is a senior role created to provide ownership, coordination, and operational discipline in areas that sit between departments, ensuring work is delivered consistently, tracked effectively, and supported by clear documentation and governance.
This role does not replace or duplicate HR or Accounts.
Instead, it provides a clear owner for cross‑functional operational activity, allowing specialist departments to remain focused on their core responsibilities.
This is a Head‑of‑Department position, with responsibility for its own remit and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Operations & Governance
- Lead and develop the Business Operations Support department.
- Provide operational governance, oversight, and coordination across multiple departments.
- Maintain robust documentation, records management, audit readiness, and compliance controls.
- Take ownership of the administration, monitoring, coordination, and follow-up of all legal cases involving Delphi, ensuring accurate records, timely action, and regular reporting to senior management.
- Support finance-related operations including credit control, debtor management, WIP monitoring, and legal recovery processes.
- Support HR operational processes, compliance requirements, and documentation management.
- Coordinate GDPR, IT, systems, and business compliance activities.
- Manage office facilities, suppliers, security, and operational service provision.
- Track organisational actions, risks, and business-critical follow‑up activities to ensure accountability and completion.
- Provide operational support to senior leadership, reducing administrative burden and improving organisational efficiency
- Finance-Adjacent Operational Support (in support of the Accounts department)
- Own credit control and debtor follow‑up
- Maintain legal case trackers, deadlines, correspondence records, and status updates for senior management
- Track Work in Progress (WIP) and flag risks
- Prepare and collate financial information for Accounts
- HR-Adjacent Operational Support (in support of the HR department)
- Maintain HR records, training logs, and compliance evidence
- Support starters and leavers from a process perspective
- Maintain policy documentation and version control
- Ensure staff requests follow agreed processes and approvals
- GDPR, IT & Systems Coordination
- Maintain GDPR administrative registers and logs
- Track DPIAs and compliance actions
- Act as liaison with Arcsus (outsourced IT)
- Maintain access, asset, and permissions registers
- Offices & Internal Coordination
- Take ownership of company offices and facilities management
- Coordinate access, security, and service providers
- Track actions from management meetings
- Support senior management with operational follow‑up
Requirements
- Qualification and Skills
- 6‑8+ years' experience in operations, business support, governance, or finance‑adjacent roles
- Experience working in growing organisations with multiple departments
- Strong organisational, coordination, and follow‑through skills
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and external providers
