As part of the M&A Operations team, the Business Operations Manager will support the commercial, operational and people priorities of M&A as one of Deloitte’s most successful businesses. • Contributing to initiatives that improve pricing discipline, delivery effectiveness and operational performance through data, analytical tools, AI‑enabled solutions and offshore delivery capabilities
  • Managing governance processes, operational reporting, systems and management information that support the effective running of the business
  • Providing insight into the evolving shape of the business through headcount analysis and workforce reporting to support decision‑making
  • Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, promotions, talent and employee engagement activities in partnership with HR and business leaders
  • Coordinating and supporting business improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new business systems, AI‑enabled ways of working and operational change programmes
  • Building strong working relationships across key enabling functions, including Finance, HR, Technology and other business services teams, to support delivery against business priorities

Skills and professional experience

The M&A Business Operations Manager will combine strong analytical capability, commercial awareness and operational excellence with the ability to build effective working relationships across a complex stakeholder environment.

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage, manipulate and analyse large and/or complex datasets efficiently
  • Strong PowerPoint and Word capability, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast‑paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying improvements and delivering outcomes

Desirable

  • Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience supporting business transformation, systems implementation and/or change management programmes
  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools, operational improvement initiatives or alternative delivery models
