We are currently recruiting 3 Female Support Workers in London who have clear speech and are BSL qualified to provide communication support, community support, and independence support to 2 individuals who are deafblind. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate, and confident in communication, and who enjoys building meaningful relationships while supporting people to live life on their own terms.
£14.22 + £1.30 per hour London weighting
2 vacancies – 15 hours per week (To include alternate weekends & 1 week day)
Shift Pattern: Weekdays and times to be mutually agreed.
The Role
- As a Support Worker, you will help individuals maintain independence, confidence, and access to their community.
- Providing communication support using BSL / clear speech, inclusive of making and receiving telephone calls on behalf of our clients.
- Supporting individuals with daily activities and routines.
- Helping people access the community and social opportunities.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
We are looking for 3 Female Support Workers who are:
- Clear and confident in communication.
- Patient and understanding, able to work at the client’s pace.
- Flexible and able to adapt to individual needs.
- Able to build strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Willing to go the extra mile while remaining within the role.
- Someone with good judgement and common sense.
- Comfortable completing simple paperwork and digital records.
