The team ITV’s business relies on a diverse range of technologies, from media workflows to network solutions and cloud technologies. The successful Project Manager will join the Portfolio and Resource Management team in Group Technology and will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of technology projects. The Portfolio & Resource Management team works collaboratively with the Group Technology Leadership to define and execute a roadmap of project initiatives that maximises the value of ITV’s technology investments. The work is diverse and engaging, offering challenges and opportunities for career growth and development.
The role Group Technology Project Manager will be responsible for defining, documenting, and successfully delivering projects within ITV’s Group Technology Department, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved. The main responsibilities are:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including key milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Establish project governance and communication plans.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Provide effective leadership to the project team.
- Adopt appropriate project management methods and tools.
- Manage the change control process and assess and manage project dependencies.
- Ensure project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedures.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are formally accepted, by appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor costs, times, quality and resources used and take action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
- Work with 3rd party service providers in planning, implementing and integrating solutions from multiple vendors.
- Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):
- Solid project management skills with proven delivery credentials, evidenced by a record of successful project delivery.
- Solid Project Management experience, using Agile and Hybrid Project Management methodologies, delivering a range of IT projects, including infrastructure and cloud projects.
- Excellent team management skills; experienced in navigating and delivering projects within a matrix organisation structure.
- Demonstrable relationship building with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proactive with a self-motivated approach, self-reliant and confident to interact independently with stakeholders across multiple business areas.
- Experience of working with technical stakeholders.
- Strong supplier and third party management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project Management Accreditation Prince2, Agile, PMI etc.

- Experience of creating / contributing to test plans and go/no go criteria for key project milestones such as go-live’s.
