The role
As a Production Manager at ITV Creative, you will play a vital role in supporting the team to deliver high-priority, multi-platform campaigns across the entire ITV portfolio. Working alongside Producers on key campaigns across On-Air, Digital, OOH, and Print, you will manage budgets and projects from end-to-end—navigating tight turnarounds, pressured situations, and multiple deliverables with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
This dynamic environment requires a passion for production and deep expertise across pre-production, shoot, and post-production workflows. You will possess sharp budget and timeline management skills, deliver seamlessly to multiple media owners, and collaborate with the Head of Creative Production to optimize resources and source fresh talent. In an industry that is constantly evolving, you will need to be flexible and agile, while confidently negotiating with external suppliers and building strong relationships across both ITV and external agencies to secure the best results for the business.
Main responsibilities
- Production for film shoots, liaising with studios, crews, caterers and ordering kit, paperwork and call sheets
- Producing accurate budgets for creative ideas
- Sourcing the best talent across film crews, post production, Design & Digital teams, Production and post production
- Clear understanding of all post production processes for on air with internal and external post production houses
- Managing resource for all priority campaigns, ensuring sufficient backfill and pre planning for peak periods
- Responsible for managing campaign budgets; reconciliation; raising contracts; purchase ordering & invoicing.
- Working for the Senior Producers, have a good understanding of the creative vision and strategy for the output they are working on so they can support the ECD, CD, Creative, Senior Producers
- Training junior members of the team in production management
- Point of contact for freelance production staff on ITVC ways of working and processes
- Day to day management of production folders and assets, ensuring archiving of supporting documents eg contracts, usage agreements etc
- Working as part of the wider Production team, aligning with agreed workflows and best practice, ensuring knowledge sharing and collaborative working
- Support, and cover, other production roles as and when required
- Act as a key member of the department as it evolves and adopt new working practices where required as a result of the ITV Transformation plan and Integrated production
- Deputising for Senior Producer and Producer when required and covering shoots
- Clear understanding of IR35 and covid processes for ITVC productions
- Driving ITVC sustainability and green core values ensuring correct policies are followed on all productions
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Strong experience in a production or creative environment is essential
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting and reconciliation.
- Proven experience of working with Producers and Creatives
- Experience in managing Shoots for TVCs / Promos
- A creative thinker who is able to convey to others creative ideas and appreciates the artistic and creative aims of any output
- Proven knowledge of integrated production across media platforms
- Ability to negotiate with internal and external companies
