The role

The media and post production landscape continues to evolve and ITV Studios are taking the opportunity to review how services in this space are delivered. Can we adopt innovative cloud-based workflows and AI tooling to streamline our processes, enhance our creativity and unlock the full potential in our intellectual property? To help shape this potential future direction, we are seeking a Product Manager on a fixed term contract basis to join the programme, to inject true product-based thinking and help define proofs of concept, pilots, toolsets, and ongoing product evolutions.

As a Product Manager within the Studios Technology product team, you will lead user-focussed analysis and assessment of the current media asset landscape, understanding the myriad of ways ITV Studios manages media and delivers post production activities. Armed with this understanding, you will work in collaboration with architects, analysts, engineers and colleagues from production, technology and operations to help define the future direction of travel for media asset management and post production. You will build and deliver visions, roadmaps and backlogs and test through PoC, pilots and beyond, embedding policies, guidelines and tooling to deliver best-in-class functionality, using OKRs and KPIs to demonstrate real value across the business from production to exploitation.

The team

Together, the Studios Technology team shape and deliver the technology which powers our global content business, from the tools our production teams use to create brilliant programmes, to the systems that help us discover and sell that content around the world. The Future Post Production project is focussed on enabling transformation in the Post Production and Media Asset Management space, delivered by a cross-functional team of architects, analysts, engineers and experts from our in-house post production teams across the world. We promote a collaborative culture, open to new ideas and perspectives and with a focus on learning and innovation. You will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team but also aligned with a team of Product Managers across the product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers and production colleagues to define requirements for Media Asset Management across ITV.
  • Define and deliver vision and roadmap for media asset management solutions, aligned with the requirements of ITV Studios labels and businesses.
  • Establish and champion an ongoing product roadmap of change across a portfolio of toolsets and integrations.
  • Prioritise backlogs of change to align with strategic goals.
  • Apply product-based thinking to pilot and delivery phases for future post-production tooling.
  • Cultivate strong trusted relationships with stakeholders across the company, including technology peers, business users and senior management.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • At least 3 years experience in a Product Management or related field such as analysis or delivery.
  • Experience of working in a media production or post production environment.
  • Experience working with a media asset management solution, whether built or off the shelf.
  • Familiarity with post production processes, e.g. video and audio transfer, transcode, delivery and archiving processes.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritise competing objectives effectively to gain consensus.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Experience using Iconik, AWS S3, Avid, Adobe Premiere or similar cloud storage and media toolsets.
  • Familiarity with scaled cloud solutions, SaaS platforms and system integrations.
  • Experience working with AI solutions and their integration into an existing tech stack.
  • Experience working as a component of a cross-functional team, building effective relationships with peers and colleagues to ensure collaborative delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations and reports tailored to diverse audiences.
