Workplace: ITV London (New Oxford Street and Grays Inn Road) 10 month fixed term role. An opportunity has arisen for a Producer to join ITV Interactive team working across Daytime shows, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. You will be responsible for creating innovative competition output for pre-recorded and live transmissions.

Working from a creative brief alongside the production team to deliver content, on time, to budget and to the highest quality. Aim to deliver content that achieves a high level of interactivity whilst maintaining editorial cohesion.

As the Producer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and driving the development process with a range of fresh, high quality and viable production ideas for competition VT’s across the daytime shows
  • Producing and directing live competitions and additional content and interactivity for social media
  • Keeping abreast of popular culture, television trends and upcoming talent so that ideas are relevant and original
  • Creating innovative presenter led scripts and treatments to engage and interact with the Daytime audience
  • Demonstrating experience/understanding of a range of programme genres and disciplines: live and pre-recorded studio/OB; single camera shoots
  • Ability to self-shoot content for broadcast with an understanding of how to engage and interact with the Daytime audience

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Understanding of commercial and editorial success when creating content for broadcast
  • Strong creative and editorial judgment
  • Experience of basic offline edits and an understanding of editing software
  • Ability to write and structure multiple scripts in order to present informative and engaging content within the time restraints
  • Working and directing on-screen talent both established and nurturing new talent
  • Must work within, and be accountable to ITV’s legal parameters and Ofcom guidelines
  • Experience/Understanding of Live TV Studio & Outside Broadcasts desirable
  • Understanding of news and tabloid magazine shows aimed at an ITV Audience and making short snappy engaging content
