- Identifying and correcting posting errors and misclassifications
- Improving and restructuring balance sheet reconciliations
- Clearing old or immaterial reconciling items
- Ensuring reconciliations fully tie back to the GL
- Preparing reconciliations for migration into ARCS
- Working closely with the RTR and wider finance teams to resolve issues
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria):
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or strong QBE with relevant experience
- Solid experience preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Comfortable working with large data sets and complex charts of accounts
- Strong Excel skills
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria):
- Strong attention to detail with a genuine enjoyment of problem solving and investigative accounting work
- Collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive, no-blame culture
- Comfortable working at pace, managing competing priorities and maintaining quality under pressure
- Resilient and adaptable, with the confidence to operate effectively in ambiguity and change
- Self‑motivated and well organised, able to manage own workload with minimal supervision
- Clear, confident communicator, able to explain issues, progress and outcomes to a range of stakeholders
- Willing and able to challenge constructively and influence at multiple levels when resolving issues
- Motivated by continuous improvement and supportive of transformation, process automation and systems change
Desirable experience:
- Hands‑on experience of large‑scale data cleansing or high‑volume reconciliations
