The Role

  • To assist and support the Costume Supervisor and the wider team in everyday costume matters, ensuring all artists are dressed and ready prior to location/studio filming.
  • To prepare costumes and costume changes for the filming day and to be present on-set as required.
  • To assist the Costume Supervisor with any final adjustments required ensuring costumes are correct for filming and continuity purposes.
  • To return all costumes to the department at the end of each filming day.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Minimum 6 Months experience working in the costume department on a TV Continuing Drama.
  • Professional qualification demonstrating creative ability ie Costume Design/Textiles/Art and Fashion.
  • Familiarity with call sheets, costume plots and schedules.
  • Ability to sew and carry out minor alterations to costume.
  • Knowledge of how to care for and clean fabrics.
