DEA Group is recruiting a Logistics/Stores Apprentice at our Gamston site. This opportunity offers a Level two Certificate in Warehousing & Storage Skills (C&G) qualification and provides knowledge of the Logistics function in a Part 145 Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) facility within the Aerospace industry. By undertaking this apprenticeship, you will become part of a dedicated stores team operating across two shifts. Each shift consists of a Supervisor and an Assistant reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. They are responsible for providing logistics support to a fleet of aircraft during periods of scheduled maintenance at facilities in the UK and across Europe.
Training course: Level 2 Apprenticeship standard in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30, 37.5 hours per week (including study time), 20 days + bank holiday starting leave allowance
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Control & Compliance: Assist in maintaining all elements of stock control for a bonded store in accordance with CAA regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain precise stock levels and reduce loss or waste by completing a perpetual stock check program.
- Traceability: Follow strict procedures for the segregation, storage, and traceability of aircraft parts (e.g., component life limits and certification) in accordance with CAA regulations.
- Goods-In Inspections: Carry out inspections to ensure all received aircraft parts meet relevant Airworthiness Authority standards.
- Shipping: Prepare and package parts for dispatch to overseas maintenance locations, ensuring full compliance with export regulations.
- Engineer Support: Action requests from Engineers by issuing stock from the Part 145 store, delivering items to the relevant aircraft track or allocating them to designated holding areas.
- Tooling Control: Assist senior team members with the management of calibrated tools to ensure all Part 145 regulations are upheld.
- Data Integrity: Ensure accurate data is maintained across all platforms, including MRP/SAGE systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Develop an understanding of various aviation authorities (CAA/FAA/EASA) and the specific certification requirements for each.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify key needs and develop professional relationships.

- Develop communication skills, building relationships with key stakeholders.
- How different internal databases are utilised.
- Knowledge of Aviation Authority regulations in respect to the control and storage of spare parts.
- How to prioritise needs, working flexibly between tasks.
- Accurate and up to date data entry.
