DEA are looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join us as a contractor.

Shift Worker (0730-1900) 4on/4off/6on/4off/4on/6off

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in being responsible to the BMM, for the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all Part-145 aircraft maintenance activities within the aircraft maintenance team.
  • Promote a "Just Culture" with regard to safety and reporting of occurrences within the business.
  • Be particularly responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, aircraft equipment and mission systems as allocated by B1 Engineers/Mechanical Manager.
  • Ensure a high standard of mechanical engineering functions.
  • Ensure recency of all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the B1s with the Mechanical Handover.
  • The ground movements of aircraft assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Carry out duties in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with the relevant Maintenance Manuals, and MOE.
  • Ensure the correct and timely completion of all aircraft documentation relating to the maintenance activities performed.
  • Ensure areas are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Evaluate all existing standards, practices, and procedures with a view to continuous improvement efficiency.
  • Ensure error and safety reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist the B1s in the day-to-day functions of the team.
  • Achieve optimal aircraft maintenance performance; maintain excellent customer and stakeholder relations.
  • Work at component level within DEA C-Rated workshops as a certifier where authorised (Wheel Bay).
  • Provide AOG technical support to company and 3rd party aircraft and give general technical support to aircraft operators and owners.
  • Hold a position on an AOG rota, supporting DEA and 3rd party aircraft in UK and overseas.

  • Essential: HF Initial/Continuation SMS Training, Part 145 Familiarisation Training, Formal Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications.
  • Preferred: Aircraft Familiarisation/Type Training.
