DEA are looking for a B1.1 Licensed Engineer on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in being responsible to the BMM, for the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all Part-145 aircraft maintenance activities within the aircraft maintenance team.
  • Provide support to the team with engineering decisions and provide guidance with regards to personal, and team development.
  • Promote a "Just Culture" with regard to safety and reporting of occurrences within the business.
  • Be particularly responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, aircraft equipment as allocated by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Certification of B1 maintenance activities performed during shift operations.
  • Where held and required, C Certification of aircraft released from base maintenance activity.
  • Ensure a high standard of mechanical engineering functions.
  • Assist the Planning Manager to ensure all resources, parts and equipment are available at maintenance inputs.
  • Ensure recency of all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide the Mechanical Handover for the ground movements of aircraft assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Ensure that all technical staff working within your supervision carry out their duties in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with the relevant Maintenance Manuals, and MOE.
  • Ensure the correct and timely completion of all aircraft documentation relating to the maintenance activities performed.
  • Ensure areas under supervision are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Evaluate all existing standards, practices, and procedures with a view to continuous improvement efficiency.
  • Ensure error and safety reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in the day-to-day functions of the team.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in prioritising tasks and scheduling requirements.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in the development of the team.
  • Achieve optimal aircraft maintenance performance; maintain excellent customer and stakeholder relations.
  • Work at component level within DEA B/C-Rated workshops as a certifier (Wheel & Engine Bay).
  • Provide AOG technical support to company and 3rd party aircraft and give general technical support to aircraft operators and owners.
  • Hold a position on an AOG rota, supporting DEA and 3rd party aircraft in UK and overseas.
  • Deputy Shift Supervisor (Where Applicable IAW Employment Contract/Variation): The deputy shift supervisor is to perform the duties of the shift supervisor in their absence IAW the Shift Supervisor TOR.

Courses & Qualifications

  • Essential: HF Initial/Continuation SMS Training, Aircraft Maintainers License (CAA Pt-66 B1), Type Approved on KA 90/200/300 or Diamond DA42/62.
  • Preferred: Aircraft Maintainers Licence (EASA Pt-66 B1), Type Approved on all DEA platforms.
