We are seeking an experienced individual to join our D / A / CH Reinsurance Broking team at Guy Carpenter. This role can be based in Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, London or Zurich. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Advise, negotiate, and oversee large reinsurance broking transactions for complex, multi-national clients in the DACH region.
- Develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs, build and nurture strong relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams.
- Lead strategic discussions, pursue new business opportunities, and contribute to revenue and budget planning.
- Create and present renewal proposals, participate in client presentations, and monitor market developments to advise clients effectively.
- Develop reinsurance strategies, analyze portfolios, and place reinsurance programs in international markets.
What you need to have:
- Solid understanding of insurance and reinsurance concepts, with experience in broking and / or underwriting for large, complex accounts.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and ideally German, with the ability to lead negotiations at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships, and to manage complex client portfolios.
