De Vere Tortworth Court is a hotel that definitely has the WOW factor: a magnificent Grade II listed mansion house in South Gloucestershire, complete with sweeping drive entrance, Victorian arboretum and 30 acres of grounds making it a truly unique place to work. There are 201 bedrooms and suites, 14 meeting and event spaces including the Orangery, 2 Food & Beverage outlets, a seasonal outdoor Tipi and a Leisure Club & Spa offering treatments. Your commute: we're just a short way from J14 of the M5 and commutable by car from both Bristol and Gloucester.

Are you passionate about creating memorable guest experiences? As a Reception Supervisor you will lead by example and be the friendly face that greets our guests, making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. You will ensure all shifts are supervised efficiently and all Reception duties are carried out to the agreed Company and Hotel Standards of Performance. You’ll also get the opportunity to support the Front of House Manager in the recruitment, induction, training and development of the Reception team.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in working hours, including early shifts (7am-3:30pm), late shifts (2:00pm-10.30pm), and middle shifts (10am-6:30pm), which will include weekends on a rota basis.

What we look for in a Reception Supervisor:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar role, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional guest service – knowledge of Opera is desirable but not essential.
  • Effective communication skills, experience of supporting and guiding colleagues and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Punctuality and good personal presentation.
  • Proficiency in using IT software and familiarity with Opera would be advantageous (although not essential as training will be provided if needed).
