Raytheon UK have a full time, perm opportunity for a Senior Test Development Engineer to join our team on our Glenrothes and Livingston sites. Our Senior Test Development Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity for your career growth; your technical knowledge will continue to develop due to our focus on R&D and you will have opportunities to step up in seniority as we expect this team to have strong growth in the near future.
As a Senior Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. You will work on technologies that support Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronics, and cutting-edge GPS Anti-Jamming systems across land, sea, air and space.

Responsibilities- Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
- Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
- Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
- Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards
- Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers
- Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
- Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
- Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Test software design experience.
- Able to support/debug system integration
- Must be eligible for Security Clearance to a minimum of BPSS and ideally SC
- Significant test development experience in industry.
- Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools.
- Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI
- Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation
- Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C#
- Design of mix signal circuits
- High speed serial networks
- An appreciation of RF electronics
- Knowledge of power supply design
