Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Chef De Partie to join our talented brigade of chefs. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle and four Red Star boutique hotel.
About Us
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. Our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as weddings and functions. Our company goal is to deliver “refined and personalised hospitality” to enable our hotel to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves and have a break from normal life.
Job Description
- Full time permanent position 48 hours per week
- Salary £32,000 per annum
- An additional share of service charge and tips (paid every month, about 3.5k annually)
- You will be responsible for the preparation and service in a particular section supporting the team and helping colleagues
- Ensuring high level of food quality and preparation
- Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail
- Assisting with the development of menus
- Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative
- Strictly follow all food safety and health & safety procedures
Qualifications
- A truly talented Chef with a professional approach, great passion and flair for the industry and food
- Experience at 3 AA Rosette environment is ideal or at least 5 years’ experience in 2 AA Rosette within a similar role or above
- A calm mature approach with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure
- Dedicated excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Ambition to succeed
