The School and College Recruitment Team sit within the Marketing and Communications Directorate and play a central role in supporting undergraduate student recruitment. Working closely with academic Faculties and professional services colleagues, the team builds strong, long-term relationships with schools and colleges across the UK, supporting students on their journey into higher education.
As a School and College Recruitment Officer, you will take ownership of a defined regional portfolio of schools and colleges, acting as the key point of contact and developing trusted relationships with education professionals including Heads of Sixth Form, Careers Leaders, teachers, and advisers.
You will plan and deliver a wide range of student recruitment activities, including:
- Engaging presentations and workshops for students (primarily post-16, with some pre-16 activity)
- Representation at higher education fairs, exhibitions, and outreach events
- Organising and hosting school and college visits and events on the DMU campus
Working autonomously, you will manage your own diary, proactively generate engagement opportunities, and work towards clear recruitment objectives. You will also collaborate with academic colleagues to deliver subject-specific activity and help identify opportunities for growth within your school and college portfolio.
This is a varied, fast-paced, and outward-facing role that suits someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering impactful activity, and making a tangible difference to students’ futures.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships in a customer-focused, target-driven environment. You will be a confident and engaging communicator, comfortable delivering presentations to a range of audiences and representing an organisation externally.
