The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at De Montfort University educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to people's lives, health, wellbeing and society. It is home to the Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences in which this post will be based.
You would work as part of a team, primarily delivering high-quality teaching and training across a range of programmes. In addition to adult aural diagnostics and rehabilitation, we are seeking expertise in anatomy and physiology of the auditory pathway and/or acoustics. You would contribute to teaching and training across our programmes, including the development and delivery of new programmes and short courses. The role will also involve being a key member of the academic placement team, supporting both students on placement and placement providers.
The Audiology section of the school is one of the largest in the country and boasts excellent facilities with the latest clinical equipment. It offers an excellent opportunity for engagement in enterprise activities and research.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be experienced and be enthusiastic about the subject. They should possess a broad foundation in audiology and be able to contribute across a range of teaching and training activities. While a postgraduate qualification in Audiology would be advantageous, we are interested to hear from candidates with substantial clinical experience. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and training, demonstrate creativity, and be committed to developing and expanding professional networks.
