De Montfort University is entering an ambitious new phase in its development. Having transformed its educational model, expanded its international presence and launched The Empowering University strategy, DMU is seeking an exceptional Global People Officer to help shape the next chapter of its success.

Reporting to the Chief Transformation and Resources Officer and serving as a member of the University Leadership Team, the Global People Officer will provide strategic leadership for people, culture and organisational effectiveness across a university with growing global reach. This is an opportunity to influence institutional strategy, develop leadership capability, strengthen organisational performance and create an environment in which colleagues can thrive.

Operating across campuses in Leicester, London and Dubai, the role will lead the development of a modern, data-informed people function, supporting workforce transformation, cultural change and the delivery of an outstanding employee experience. The postholder will play a key role in driving organisational effectiveness, advancing inclusion and belonging, and ensuring that DMU is equipped with the talent, capability and leadership required to achieve its ambitions.

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking people leader with experience gained in a large and complex organisation. You will bring strategic insight, sound judgement, strong influencing skills and a proven track record of leading significant transformation, culture change and organisational development.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a globally connected university recognised for innovation, inclusion and social impact, and to make a lasting contribution to an institution committed to changing lives and creating a fairer world.
