We’re looking for a talented Digital Designer Developer to join our dynamic Web and Digital Experience team at De Montfort University (DMU).
In this pivotal role, you’ll help drive DMU’s digital strategy by designing and building innovative, accessible, and user-focused digital platforms. You’ll work at the heart of the University’s Web & Digital team, developing cutting-edge user interfaces, optimising online journeys, and collaborating with colleagues to elevate our marketing and recruitment efforts.
Role
What You’ll Do:
• Design & Develop: Create first-class UI/UX solutions across DMU’s websites and digital platforms that are visually compelling and highly functional.• Optimise & Enhance: Use data and user insights to optimise digital journeys, ensuring every platform performs seamlessly across devices and browsers.• Deliver Projects: Contribute to the successful delivery of digital projects in an Agile environment, supporting new features, content structures, landing pages, and student recruitment tools.• Collaborate: Work closely with Marketing & Communications and stakeholders across the university to align digital output with strategic goals.• Maintain Standards: Champion best practices in responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), usability, code quality, and release management.• Lead by Example: Stay current with evolving technologies and digital trends, sharing your knowledge to guide technical standards and enhance team capabilities.
