Compensation: To be negotiated

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise directly with authors, providing mentoring.
  • Suggest learning path for the authors’ best development.
  • Help develop the plot of their ideas.
  • Help improve the writing style of the author.
  • Provide development edits, copy edits, line edits and proofreading for manuscripts, to publication standard.

Requirements:

  • Must be a good communicator.
  • Be dynamic and enthusiastic.
  • Love literature, fiction.
  • Be patient and be able to guide an author towards drawing out the best writing style and plot for the novel.

Experience required:

At least 3 years’ experience of development / copy / line editing and proofreading.
