A rare opportunity for an experienced Livestock Manager with strong beef breeding knowledge to lead a specialist pedigree beef herd of Aberdeen Angus, Simmental, and Hereford cattle. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a mixed farming business that includes a beef enterprise, free-range poultry unit, and arable operation across 1,100 acres in the picturesque market town of South Lincolnshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- The day-to-day running of the beef farming enterprise.
- Manage and provide training to the team.
- Maintain accurate breeding plans and farm records.
- Able to take youngstock through to finishing, as well as breeding replacements.
- Liaise with vets, nutritionists, and farm representatives.
What we are looking for:
- An experienced beef breeding herd manager.
- Good understanding of a mixed farming enterprise.
- Flexible in meeting the demands of the business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with Breeder software and genetics.
- Good organisational skills and knowledge of farming finances.
