A proficient and motivated individual is required to join the team as Head Herdsman in Shropshire. Being involved at the heart of the business, you will have a hands-on approach to ensure the health and welfare of the herd is optimised. You will set the example with regards to cow management and efficiency on farm, working closely alongside the collaborative team. With 430 ProCROSS cows in addition to youngstock situated on a neighbouring unit, I am looking for a standout individual to join a business which is both progressive and forward thinking. About you: – Practical dairy background is essential. – AI competent. – Foot trimming capabilities are an advantage, however not imperative. – Be computer literate, Uniform training to be provided as required. – Collaborative work approach, both with full time and relief staff. – Excellent stockmanship skills.
